The people behind Sow.

Based in Ōtautahi Christchurch, working with clients across all of New Zealand. When you call, one of these people answers.

Simon Fox and his wife on a canal bridge in Burano, Italy

I’m Simon, one of Sow’s founders. My other love is health, and it translates directly to money: the same small, consistent habits that keep a body strong are what build financial strength too. I’m genuinely passionate about getting this right for people. Come the weekend, the phone goes off and the time belongs to my wife. Steady, intentional, in it for the long run — that’s how I do finance, and life.

Harrison O'Connor sitting by a river in the New Zealand bush

I’m Harrison, one of Sow’s founders. Before financial advice I had a few lives: the car industry, outdoor instructing — rock climbing, hiking, kayaking — and disability and social support work with children who’d been through the prison system, faced serious accidents, or were born with disabilities. That work taught me to meet people exactly where they are, and it’s how I give advice too. Off the clock, you’ll find me outdoors or trying yet another cafe.

Mason Murphy in the Sow Financial studio

I’m Mason. Raised here in Christchurch, I joined the Sow Financial family because I love helping people — especially enabling my generation to get ahead despite the uncertainty around us. I’m a year into financial advice, and I’m already convinced that seeing people become financially free will never grow old on me. Outside of advising, I love anything with a bit of competition — sports, team events, the occasional game of Coup in a team meeting — and exploring this beautiful country.

JB Rawls with his wife and newborn son

I’m JB Rawls. I came to financial advice after 20-plus years in the military and as a PE teacher, where I learned to break big goals into achievable steps and coach people through the hard yards. As a husband and dad of four, I know what it means to protect what you’ve worked for. Off the clock, you’ll find me outdoors or on the sports field. My promise is simple: honest, clear advice built around your real life.

Ethan Macdonald on the rugby field in his Southland training kit

I’m Ethan. Born and bred in Auckland, I moved to Christchurch chasing my footy and university dreams. Before financial advice I played professional rugby around the world, most recently for the Southland Stags and North Harbour. I’m best known for my rugby endeavours, but I partake in every possible sport known to mankind. If I’m ever missing, you’ll most likely find me on a sports field somewhere. I’ve taken a step back from rugby now to join the Sow Financial family and help New Zealanders become financially free. This is a new avenue for me, and I look forward to bringing the experiences of my life into this world of finance.

Jenna Rosity, Sow Financial’s AI voice agent

Kia ora, I’m Jenna, the friendly voice you’ll often hear first. I’m an AI, not an adviser. My job is simple: have a quick chat, work out what you need, and connect you with the right human on the Sow team. No pressure, no sales pitch, no endless hold music. I don’t give advice myself; I just make sure you reach someone who can.
